Though District Sirsa has its website named
‘sirsa.gov.in' containing very useful informations relating to the history of
the district, its culture, agriculture, religions, functioning of different
government offices the implementation of various developmental/welfare schemes
in the district. However, there has always been a possibility of
improvement/upgradation of the existing stastics/activities.
Since I joined as Deputy Commissioner of the district in January 2012,
not only sincere efforts have been made to provide a good governance but
e-governance through innovative initiatives.
Owing the aspirations of the people, various e-services/IT activities
such as ‘Jansahayak’ tool to monitor delivery of essential services,
‘Harsamadhan’ – web-enabled software for public grievances, -e-Governance
services through e-disha centres in the district where citizen centric services
like registration of motor vehicles, registration of deeds/documents; issusance
of driving licence; issuance of ‘Nakal’ of various revenue documents;
computerization of land records; modeniration of land records; updation of
digitized musavis etc. launched by the State Government from time to time are
being provided by the District Administration successfully.
Moreover an endeavour has also been made to provide ‘Battery Operated
Rickshaws’ to the pedal rickshaw pullers; establishment of a well maintained
‘traffic park’, establishment of ‘district science centre’, renovation of crèche
at Bal Bhawan, painting of the RKJ school and government schools on BaLA
pattern; establishment of digital classes in all government senior secondary
schools; digital equalizer programme at DIET Ding, installation of Active
Tracker systems on Ultra-Sound machines etc. There is a proposal
to install a ‘Bio-mass Gassifier Crematorium’ for cremation of dead bodies at
Shivpuri, Sirsa shortly.
In addition to implementation of regular developmental
scheme in the district, the IT activities and E-Governance projects have all
been uploaded in the website and I am sure it would reflect the face of the the
entire district as a whole.
I wish the viewers, NIC team and all other officers/officials associated
with this project all the best.
