SERVICES National Anti Malaria Programme : Malaria incidence reduced from 21948 in Year 1976 to 21 Cases in the Year 1999. However, 4 deaths in year 1996 and 2 deaths in 1997 were reported due to Dengue. Under Urban Malaria Scheme, Anti-Larvel measures taken on water sources (stagnant). Anti-Malaria Drugs are given through D.D.C.s numbering 460. National Family Welfare Programme : Due to services of Sterlisation, IUD, CCs, Oral Pills and IEC Activities, Birth Rate, Death Rate, IMR and MMR have shown constant decline as follows :
The Positive Findings of Achievements is that in 1992, Sterlisation of upto 30 Years age was 19.84% whereas in the Year 1999, it increased to 58.6%. There has been no death of Children upto 5 years ge due to Diptheria pertusis, Tetanus, Polio, Childhood Tuberculosis and Measels during the last 5 Years due to proper implementation of Immunisation Programme. Acute respiratory infection and diarrhoeas in children have been well controlled. Vitamin A and IFA Tabs are given for prevention of Night Blindness and Anaemias. District T.B. Clinics : The new Hospital Complex caters to the need of T.B. patients providing free treatments. Leprosy : With constant serveillance, leprosy cases have decline to 26 only (16
migratory, 10 indigeneses) getting the Free Treatment. AIDS Control Programme : This Programme is effectively implemented by creating awareness and supplying the tested blood in the two licenced Blood Banks located at Sirsa.No case has been reported under Guniaeworm Eradication Programme from Year 1975 to till date. A.N.M. Training School : The school has trained 735 ANMs since Year 1982. Miscellaneous : Incinrator installed in the G.H. Sirsa helps Pollution Free destruction/burning of infectious and other Waste Materials. In addition to the routine indoor and outdoor services, special ist services are provided in the field of Medicines, Surgery, Gyane and Obst., Eye, ENT, Orthopeadics Surgery, Padiatrics, Dentistary, Anaesthiology and Radiology etc. at Sirsa. At Chautala, Surgery Services are provided and at Dabwali, Surgery, Anaesthisia, Radiology, Gyane and T.B., and Chest services are provided. The District Training Centre is reorienting the M.O.s and Para Medical Staff regularly and keeps them appraised about the new coming health related Programmes. Thus imparting continued Education. Incinrator installed in the General Hospital Sirsa helps pollution free destruction/burning of infectious and other waste materials. In addition to the routine outdoor and indoor services, specialist services are provided in the field of Medicines, Surgery, Gyane and Obst., Eye, ENT, Orthopaedics Surgery, Paedriatics, Dentistary, Anaesthiology and Radiology at Sirsa. At Chautala, Surgery services are provided. At Dabwali, Surgery, Anaesthisia, Radiology, Gyane, T.B. and Chest Services are provided.
