Recently, Dist Administration Sirsa and a Noida based NGO working in the field of empowerment of differently abled children  signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to run a transformation programme and act as a knowledge Partner for Hellen Keller School for visually impaired persons, and RKJ Sharwan Vani kalyan Centre for a period of one year. This Transformation Programme would be under taken in three phase under BRGF, a scheme has been prepared to provide education to partially impaired children of RKJ Shravan Vani Kalyan Centre and Hellen Keller Visually impaired persons on a par with normal children.

Such children would be admitted in normal schools by imparting training to them before the next academic  session under the scheme Saksham Orgamisation would impart training to children of both institutes so as to train them for reading with normal children.

Children would be trained according to their capabilities so that they could get education in Engineering, Medical and other courses. Six Children would be identified from Hellen Keller school which would train in the next academic session, Similarly children would be identified from RKJ Shravan Vani Kalyan Centre so as to provide them education on a par with normal children.

Future Plan :

Sirsa district is bordering two  states i.e. Punjab and Rajasthan and there being no school of 8th standard in the proximity of more than 100 kms, students after passing out 5th class have either to discontinue their study or get admission elsewhere which is causing a lot of trouble to the students as well as their parents. Hence, Distt Administration is planning to upgrade the existing school to 8th standard, a proposal of which is being moved separately
