Key Details of SIR 2026

As per instructions of the Election commission of India, the work of summary revision of voter lists is done every year. This time as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, special intensive revision of voter lists is to be done considering 01-01-2026 as the qualifying date. Earlier special intensive revision of voter lists was done in Haryana in 2002. Therefore, the voter list of 2002 and voter list of the year 2024 are being matched by the Booth level officers. The Booth level officers are marking the voters registered in 2002 in the voter list of the year 2024. The following works will be done for Special Intensive Revision of voter list.
1-The names of voters registered in the year 2002 are being marked in the voter list in the year 2024.
2- During the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll, the Booth Level Officer will go door to door and distribute enumeration Form. The Booth level Officer will provide Annexure C to each existing voter and obtain an acknowledgement on another Form No. C
3-Voter whose names are listed in the 2002 voter list and the 2024 voter list will simply complete and submit Annexure C. These voters will not be req
uired to provide any documents.
4-Voters whose names are not included in the 2002 voter list but are included in the 2024 voter list will also have to provide documents along with Annexure C.
5-A voter whose name is registered in the 2002 voter list, but does not submit Annexure C within the stipulated time, will have to submit Annexure D during claims and objections.
6-Voters born between 01-07-1987 and 02-12-2004 must provide one ID proof along with enumeration form.
7-Voters born after 2004 must provide two ID proof along with enumeration form.
